My Background
Minkyu Lim, 16, joined Strikers FC Irvine in the summer July 2023 right before the team embarked on a 2 week trip to France, where the Strikers team finished with a record of 4 wins and 2 losses against some of the best teams in France. Lim was originally on Pateadores ECNL and Arsenal ECNL. During his time with Pateadores he saw success with them, winning the league, and also going on trial with LA Galaxy. He has also been on Servite varsity for 2 years, being apart of their team for the 2021-2022 D1 CIF Regional and CIF State Championships.
Experience
The California-Born keeper has a plethora of experience as he was part of the California SoCal PDP program when he was with Arsenal in 2021-2022 and again with the Pateadores in 2022-2023. He was named ECNL Second team in 2022, and ECNL first team in 2023.
Off the Field
Apart from soccer, he has given back to the community with founding a non-profit organization called Dream Kick. They provide soccer equipment to those in need and they have done this in Paraguay and in Laos. Through their tireless efforts, we strive to create a global community of empowered individuals, young and old, who share a common love for the sport. They dream of soccer being a source of inspiration, unity, and personal growth, as we continue to bridge gaps, donate hope, and fuel the aspirations of countless soccer enthusiasts around the globe.
